The Member Services Committee oversee the care and well-being for all our the Volunteer Members.
Prior to the main event in August, this group organizes the services to be provided to the members, is in charge of the recruitment of new Volunteer Members, helps with staffing Volunteer Member recruitment booths, organizes the Member goodie bags, selects shirt color choice for the year, coordinates with the other areas of service for delegation of work, and tabulates members’ participation during the Event.
The Member Services committee assists with crowd control during the Sunday Parade of the main event and at the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade. During the events we deliver water, ice and lunches to Volunteer Members onsite at our venues.
Throughout the year, the committee plans and organizes member parties and other social gatherings.
All meetings are held from March to July unless otherwise noted.
The Member Services Committee meets the third Thursday of the month starting in February to November. No meeting in August.
All meeting dates are subject to change and unless otherwise specified are held at the Hot August Nights office (1425 E. Greg Street, Sparks) at 5:30 pm. If you miss a meeting, please check with your Chairman for a copy of the minutes.
