Car Events Committee
If you want to be near the cars, this committee is the place for you. The committee helps manage the Show-n-Shines, car cruises and the Sunday parade. Activities include traffic direction, monitoring of parking available, crowd control and more.
This committee is responsible for handling all entertainment across our locations during the official kickoff in Virginia City and the main event held in Reno-Sparks.
Manages the HAN Event Series year-round including executing logistics for the Grand Finale. Assist judges during the daily Show-n-Shines in downtown Reno, Sparks and the main venue. Assist with car registration verifications, winner notification and awards presentations
This committee is responsible for handling all funds collected at locations during the official kickoff in Virginia City and the main event held in Reno-Sparks.
This committee supports the Hot August Nights Foundation with planning and organizing various charitable events for children in-need and at-risk in our community.
This committee is responsible for managing our VIP Experience tents providing volunteers prime viewing of the nightly entertainment at the Grand Sierra Resort and the Nugget Event Center.
This committee is responsible for the coordination and staffing of the Information booths and coordination and running our Poker Runs, Poker Walks and Scavenger Hunts. In the fall, volunteer members oversee the float building for local parades.
This Committee is responsible for assisting with inventory management throughout the year, setup and stocking of souvenir merchandise booths, and overseeing sales and inventory during pop-up events and the main event.
Plans and organizes Volunteer Member themed parties, Member goodie bags, selects shirt color choice for the year and helps with staffing Volunteer Member recruitment booths. During event, we deliver water, ice and lunches to Volunteer Members onsite at our venues.
This committee handles radio communication, site planning, preparation, and set-up prior to the event. During the event the committee oversees and manages venues at the Grand Sierra Resort, downtown Reno, Sparks and Virginia City.
