Becoming a Hot August Nights volunteer means stepping into a world of nostalgia, fun, and community impact!
Hot August Nights Volunteer Members are the heart and soul of the community, playing a vital role in making the nation’s premier classic car event in the Reno-Tahoe region a success. From traffic control to managing venues, volunteers ensure every detail is perfect!
Being a Volunteer Member is more than just important work—it’s also rewarding and fun! Members enjoy exclusive perks like goodie bags and access to lavish parties, all while making new friends and staying front-and-center at year-round activities and special events.
The Event goodie bag contains:
Receive Event food vouchers for every four hours of volunteer time worked and invitations to attend annual parties at no cost.
Our Volunteer Members must be 18 years or older and must commit to working a minimum of 16 hours during the Event. We love for our Volunteer Members to truly get involved and commit to more hours, but we appreciate any time you can give. We have different levels of membership based on the number of hours you volunteer.
This level is for Volunteer Members who log between 16 and 59 hours during the Event and throughout the Hot August Nights fiscal year. Benefits include:
This level is for Volunteer Members who log a minimum of 40 hours the week of the Event plus a minimum of 20 hours throughout the Hot August Nights fiscal year OR a total of 60 hours. Benefits include:
This is the top level consisting of those who have been Volunteer Members for at least 5 consecutive years and who have logged in excess of 150 hours per year throughout each of the 5 years. Benefits include:
