Below are Q&As (Questions and Answers) related to the NEW online registration process.

To ensure you are ready for November 1, we’ve opened up our “My Account” so you can create your account in advance.

Following the Q&As below is a step-by-step downloadable file, a video demonstrating the steps and another version showing how to set up your account on a mobile device

Where’s my registration for 2024?
It’s coming and will be available online starting November 1, 2023. We are transitioning from paper to a completely online system. The extra time allows us to prepare and make the process as seamless as possible. You can start now by creating your online account.

What’s an online account used for?
Just like Amazon or even what you might use to book air travel, you’ll use an account. You’ll be able to update your own contact information should you move or change phone numbers. You’ll also be able to register multiple cars for all our events in one place. We’ve been doing this already with your registrations in our office, you just haven’t had access to it. Now we’re putting access to your account, in your hands including the ability to reference past orders and track process.

Is the cost going up for registration with this change?
Early bird pricing is not going to change. We’ll still offer early bird registration and different levels leading up to the 2024 event. The pricing structure will be provided in September following the main event.

Do I have to set up an account?
Yes. You can either set up your account now and be ready to go on November 1 or set it up when you are ready to register. Going online provides numerous advantages including not having to wait for a confirmation letter among other clerical items required. Starting November 1, 2023, you can enter one or as many vehicles as you need, and register for Reno-Sparks, Virginia City, or Spring Fever. You can purchase a HAN Event Series decal, a table at one of The Garage locations, or even a t-shirt or hat.

Is an email required?
Yes, an email address is required so that you receive the information directly about your participation and the event. If you do not have an email, perhaps you can coordinate with a friend or family member to use their email following permission, of course. They can then forward any important details directly to you.

Does entering my car information mean I’m registered?
No. Registration opens November 1, 2023. However, you can enter your vehicle(s) in now and then be ready to go when registration is live.

Will I be able to mail in my registration?
For any mail-in registrations we receive, we’ll enter your information like we do today. However, you will need to have your account set up before November 1. If you don’t have your account set up by then, we’ll call you for the information.

Will I be able to keep my grandfathered number or request a registration number?
Absolutely, yes. Special numbers are part of our community and are as important to us as it is to you. Numbers are issued on a first-come first-serve basis. More details will be provided on this leading up to November 1.

Will you be selling my name?
No. The information you provide will be used internally only. That’s how we do it today. When we receive paper registrations, we enter all the information online. Now, you’ll be able to manage your account. Hot August Nights works with tremendous sponsors and partners and you can choose whether or not you’d like to receive information from our sponsors or not.

Why do I have to wait until November 1?
Because this is a big change for our organization, and we want to do it right. These extra few months will provide time for you to create your account and for us to transfer our information to the new online platform. We want to make it as seamless as possible for you and everyone involved in the event. We will help you create an account and walk you through the process so you are fully prepared. This includes providing online training videos and how-to tips.
