In advance of the premier classic car and rock ‘n’ roll main event, Spring Fever Revival rolls into downtown Reno on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20. In conjunction with the downtown properties, Hot August Nights celebrates the classics each spring with a Celebrity Choice Show-n-Shine, live entertainment, street vendors sharing and selling memorabilia, along with food and beverage booths.
During the weekend event, registered participants will also have the chance to compete for the prestigious honor to be one of Hot August Nights’ featured automobiles on its commemorative poster and other prominent marketing materials for the following year.
“Spring Fever Revival is the only time that participants can show off their cars to be considered for our official poster,” Hot August Nights Marketing and PR Manager Heather Libretti stated. “During the weekend event, we’ll also choose eight classic cars to be featured on our front-page advertising wraps in the Reno Gazette-Journal during the week of the main event this year.”
Spring Fever Revival will take place on Virginia Street in downtown Reno on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration for the springtime event is open to all 1976 and older vehicles, and is free for all 2017 Hot August Nights registered car participants. Each registrant will receive a window sticker, commemorative dash plaque and other items. A $35 entry fee will be charged for all non-registered car participants. The event is free for public enjoyment.
Spring Fever Revival is also one of the last times participants can register for the main event and receive three Hot August Nights sanctioned events—Spring Fever Revival, Hot August Nights main event and Fall Frenzy—for an early bird price of $170. Prices will go up June 1.
