Hot August Nights Foundation Raises $65K from 2015 Charity Raffle Car
Monies raised will support the Foundation’s mission to help in-need or at-risk children
RENO, Nev. (Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015)— On Friday, Nov. 20, members of the Hot August Nights Foundation gathered all 90,000 raffle tickets for entry to win the 2015 charity raffle car—a 1973 Ford Mustang with 215 original miles—and placed them in an inflatable pool at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. The lucky ticket was drawn by a Club Member and announced at the event. For the first time in Hot August Nights history, the winner was in the room. Richard Fox, a classic car enthusiast and Hot August Nights participant of Sparks, Nev., won the 2015 charity raffle car and then donated it back to the Foundation to raise more money for the Foundation’s mission.
From the 90,000 raffle tickets, $65,000 was raised for the Foundation. A separate entity of Hot August Nights, the Hot August Nights Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) creates an instrument for individuals and businesses that share the Foundation’s mission to work together, providing in-need or at-risk children with a more meaningful and productive life through the availability of continuing and higher education. Members of the Hot August Nights Foundation volunteer their time to provide vital resources, including scholarships and volunteer needs, while supporting a variety of educational and assistance programs.
