Hot August Nights Foundation Hosts 3rd annual Fundraising Dinner
Classics & Cocktails raises proceeds and awareness for Northern Nevada’s at-risk and in-need youth

RENO, Nev. (September 2018) — The Hot August Nights Foundation presents its 3rd annual Classics & Cocktails benefit dinner hosted by Atlantis Casino Resort Spa on Saturday, Oct. 20. Proceeds from the dinner allow The Hot August Nights Foundation to provide our youth with a more meaningful and productive life through the availability of continuing and higher education throughout Northern Nevada.

The Foundation is the philanthropic branch of Hot August Nights –– the annual nostalgia and classic car event. Rooted within the community, The Foundation strives to work with individuals and businesses to provide children at-risk or in-need by providing vital resources in an increasingly challenging world for a broadened educational curriculum.

“The Foundation Committee Members, as well as the Staff and Board of Trustees of the Hot August Nights Foundation, are committed to giving youth the opportunity to access educational programs they deserve throughout Northern Nevada,” said Mike Whan, Executive Director of Hot August Nights. “By helping these kids through providing a scholarship to schooling or a warm jacket, we hope to leave an impact on them that will drive them to lead happy, successful lives.”

Classic & Cocktails will commence with a cocktail hour starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy a hosted bar featuring a variety of wine and spirits, donated by Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, in addition to a Hot August Nights Specialty drink. The evening will consist of a sit-down dinner beginning at 7 p.m., the menu features a roasted beet and goat cheese salad, petite filet mignon in a port demi glaze with shrimp scampi followed by a wine poached pear with mascarpone cream dessert.

A choir from Hidden Valley Elementary School will sing a few songs and local singer, Taylor Lawson, will sing “A Million Dreams” from the soundtrack, The Greatest Showman.

A live and silent auction will take place throughout the evening, in addition to a raffle drawing and guest speakers.

Individuals may purchase tickets for $100 each or table sponsor packages online at https://tickets.hotaugustnights.net/e/classics-cocktails/tickets.
