Classic vehicles gleam and shine for the entirety of the two-day event

RENO, Nev. (April 19, 2018)—Hot August Nights in conjunction with the Downtown Properties commemorate yesteryear at Spring Fever Revival on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 in downtown Reno. Over 600 participants will polish their classics for a chance to be marveled at and admired. Attendees will be able to enjoy street vendors, DJ entertainment and official memorabilia as well as a fundraiser dinner and poker run in collaboration with Pinocchio’s Moms on the Run, Ride for the TaTas.

During the entirety of the event, participants will have the opportunity to compete to be one of Hot August Nights’ featured automobiles. Those registered can keep an eye out for Hot August Nights Marketing & PR Manager, Heather Libretti or drop off a photograph of their classic, with the Hot August Nights registration number of their vehicle, at one of the information booths.

“It’s time to kick off the year by celebrating the timeless showpieces that make Hot August Nights the world’s premier classic car show,” said Mike Whan, executive director of Hot August Nights. “Spring Fever Revival allows us to showcase participants as Heather picks four shining classics to be featured on the cover of Hot Flashes as well as promotional and advertising memorabilia—with one being selected to be the 32nd Hot August Nights Official Poster.”

Registration for the springtime event is open to all 1976 and older vehicles and is free for all 2018 Hot August Nights registered car participants. Each registrant will receive a window sticker, commemorative dash plaque and other items. A $35 entry fee will be charged for all non-registered car participants. The event is free for public enjoyment.

Spring Fever Revival is also one of the last times participants can register for the main event and receive four Hot August Nights sanctioned events—Spring Fever Revival, Squaw Valley Show-n-Shine, Hot August Nights main event and Fall Frenzy—for the price of $170. Late fees apply June 1.

Hot August Nights in collaboration with Pinocchio’s Moms on the Run present Ride for the TaTas, a fundraiser dinner and poker run that will continue to provide financial support to women diagnosed with breast cancer in Northern Nevada. Hot August Nights participants can attend the fundraiser dinner for $40 per seat on Saturday, May 19 in the Reno Ballroom, in downtown Reno from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. To reserve a ticket, guests must call the Hot August Nights office by May 16.

For the first-time, the classics are cruising alongside motorcycles. Registered car participants will receive one free hand for the Poker Run on Sunday, May 20 at 8 a.m. Additional Poker Run hands are available for $5 each and up to two bonus cards for $1 each—all proceeds will benefit Pinocchio’s Moms on the Run, Ride for the Tatas. Moms on the Run helps women battling breast and gynecological cancers. Prizes and giveaways are available at each stop, with classic vehicles and motorcycles having separate routes. Completed hands will be entered to win a Hot August Nights gift basket and a 2019 car registration.
