The Hot August Nights Foundation winter coat drive aims to collect new and gently used winter coats for in-need and at-risk youth in our community

Reno, Nev. (Oct. 2, 2024) – The Hot August Nights Foundation, the non-profit arm of Hot August Nights, is collecting winter coats for in-need and at-risk youth in the Reno-Sparks community. Donations of new and gently used coats in sizes for infant to adults take place at the following locations now through Oct. 31: Hot August Nights office, First Independent Bank, Grand Sierra Resort, Champion Chevrolet, 1st Choice Automotive and The Nugget Casino Resort.

“The Hot August Nights Foundation and our volunteers work all year long to support children and youth right here in our hometown and our annual coat drive is one of our longest running programs,” Linda Lott, Hot August Nights Foundation President, said. “Never underestimate the benefits of providing a coat to someone in need. We work with our friends at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows to distribute the coats to those who need them most. We appreciate the support of our long-time partners to serve as collection sites to make it easy for donation collections. Our goal is to demonstrate to the recipients how much our community cares and shower them with warmth for the coming winter.”

Those wishing to donate coats can go to any of the drop off locations listed below during normal business hours throughout the month of October.
