Show-n-Shine, Sock Hop, 2023 Poster Unveil and More – May 19-20, 2023
With the official start to spring, it’s time to unleash those steel ponies from the garage and jumpstart the Reno-Sparks event season with Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival this May 19 and 20, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Limited to the first 300 registered vehicles, the event is the perfect excuse to shine up those beauties for a Show-n-Shine, Celebrity Choice Awards, HAN Event Series qualifying event along with three new 2023 events – a nightly Sock Hop, a GSR shops Poker Walk and the official unveiling of the 2023 event poster.
While you’re de-winterizing those classic cars bust out those poodle skirts, letterman jackets and bobby socks for the Spring Revival Sock Hop taking place Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Silver State Pavilion.
Join in a Poker Walk of the shops at the GSR. Prizes are awarded daily. Poker Walks are open to all registered car participants and attendees.
Looking ahead to the main event kicking off July 28 in Virginia City and moving down to Reno July 30 and continuing through to Aug. 6, the 2023 official poster will be available for purchase along with a display of the featured vehicle, courtesy of the National Automobile Museum. Posters will be available for purchase.
Live DJ entertainment during the day, merchandise and memorabilia, Hot August Nights Foundation 50/50 Raffle and a Poker Walk through shops at the Grand Sierra Resort, round out the activities.
The 2023 Spring Fever Revival takes place at the Grand Sierra Resort near the Grand Bay Driving Range and at the Silver State Pavilion.
Participation in Spring Fever Revival:
- Open to all 1979 and older cars, pickup-size trucks, and emergency vehicles
- Admission for all 2023 Hot August Nights registered car participants is free
- $40 fee for non-registered participants or waive the registration fee by signing up for the main event at Spring Fever Revival for $175
Applications are now available online until May 12 at 5.pm. or in person at the Hot August Nights office, located at 1425 E. Greg St., Sparks, NV, 89431. Onsite registration is available at the main Check-In at Grand Sierra Resort starting Friday, May 19 at 8 a.m. Hot August Nights’ main event returns for its 36th annual event, July 28 – Aug. 6, 2023.
