Operations encompasses a great many areas, all of which require manpower. Operations organizes and provides staffing for each venue during the Event, is in charge of communications, site preparation prior to the Event, maintenance during it and tear down after it, and clean up. The Operations Committee sets up and manages the venues located at the Grand Sierra Resort, downtown Reno and assists sponsor/vendor set up in Sparks.
Hi, I’m Dee Priest. Let me introduce myself to the Members who do not know me and reintroduce myself to those whom I have had the pleasure of working with in the past.
The event, for Ops, starts out mainly with setup of the Grand Sierra Resort venue. We set the placement of water barrels and barricades, set car routes, tie down tents etc. Then we progress to monitoring of the venue for efficient and proper functioning. On Sunday, we take it all down again and start planning for the next event.
