Hot August Nights Foundation Gala Funds Scholarships and Opportunities for Children In-need and At-risk
RENO, Nevada (Jan. 28, 2025 ) — The Hot August Nights Foundation invites the community to an evening of elegance, entertainment and generosity at its signature fundraiser, Classics & Cocktails, Friday, March 15, 2025, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Reno, Nevada.
The event raises critical funds to help transform the lives of Northern Nevada’s in-need and at-risk children through scholarships, educational support and community assistance programs.
Since 2007, the Foundation has distributed more than $1.5 million in grants, scholarships and resources to more than 90 local organizations directly improving the lives of thousands of children. Proceeds from the gala support critical programs, including:
- Scholarships for secondary education including colleges, trade schools, specialty educational centers, junior colleges, and vocational school
- Primary education initiatives for K-12 students facing economic hardship, particularly those at risk of not completing their education
- Other assistance programs aimed at uplifting in-need and at-risk children
“Classics & Cocktails is more than a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of hope, connection and opportunity,” said Deny Dotson, executive director of Hot August Nights Foundation. “Bringing our community together during this one night carries on for the next year helping to make a lasting impact on the lives of local children.”
The inspirational evening features live and silent auctions, an open bar, an elegant multi-course dinner provided by Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, and heartfelt stories from those whose lives have been transformed by the Foundation’s support.

Tickets start at $100 per person with table sponsorships for eight at $800. VIP sponsor tickets start at $150 for individuals and $1,200 for tables of eight and receive benefits such as early access, expedited check-in, preferred seating placement, logo placement, premier wine during the gala and recognition at the event. Dedicated to supporting Northern Nevada’s youth, the Hot August Nights Foundation hosts three key annual fundraisers annually: Classics & Cocktails, the 50/50 Raffle during Hot August Nights events and an auction of a donated vehicle at the MAG Auction during the main event. Through these efforts, the Foundation continues its mission to provide important resources and opportunities to children in need.
