
Spring Fever Revival Classic Car Poker Run May 20, 2022
RENO, Nevada (May 6, 2022) – Hot August Nights jumpstarts the events season with Spring Fever Revival, taking place May 20 – 22, 2022, at the Grand Sierra Resort. This year, the Show-n-Shine runs for three days with classic vehicles, live entertainment, a vendor village featuring art and craft vendors, memorabilia and a variety of food vendors. The annual Spring Fever Revival Poker Run is Friday, May 20, 2022.
This annual festival serves to warm up the engines of many classic car owners and get their vehicles ready for the main event this summer, taking place July 29 through Aug. 7.
“Our Spring Revival Show-n-Shine and Poker Run is just that, a revival of getting back to classic cars, classic music and having a great time,” Alan Tom, executive director of Hot August Nights, said. “We hope that this start to the Reno events calendar continues to bring renewed optimism and support to the many businesses that are still trying to get back on track from a tough couple of years. As one of the region’s premier events, we’re ready to roll.”
The poker run starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. at the Grand Sierra Resort, 2500 East Second Street in Reno, Nevada. All hands must be turned in by 4 p.m. and winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday, May 22, at 1 p.m. This year’s poker run route starts at Grand Sierra Resort, first stop is Port of Subs Smithridge Plaza on McCarran Blvd.; the second stop is Sol Dispensaries; the third stop is Summit Racing; the fourth stop is Bully’s in Spanish Springs; the fifth stop is Champion Chevrolet and then back to the Grand Sierra Resort. All participants who complete their Poker Run hand(s) are entered into a prize drawing for a Hot August Nights gift basket.
Participation in the Spring Revival Poker Run:
- Open to all 1979 and older cars, pickup-size trucks, and emergency vehicles
- All 2022 Hot August Nights registered car participants get into the show for free
- $40 fee for non-registered participants or waive the registration fee by signing up for the main event at Spring Fever Revival for $175
- The first 600 participants will receive one poker hand, a commemorative dash plaque and a window sticker
Applications are now available online until May 13. Onsite registration available at the Check-In at Grand Sierra Resort in the Cascade Room on the Executive Level.

Then, get ready for Hot August Nights, the largest classic car and nostalgic festival in the county. The 10-day celebration starts in the historic mining town of Virginia City, Nevada, Friday, July 29, and concludes with a grand finale parade in Reno, Nevada, Sunday, Aug. 7.
