VIP Reserved Tables Bring Front-Row Access to Classic Cars, Rock and Roll and Live Entertainment This July 28 – Aug. 6, 2023, in Reno, Nevada

Known as America’s largest classic car show, Hot August Nightscompletes the nostalgic experience by bringing free, legendary entertainment to the weeklong event in Reno, Sparks and Virginia City, Nevada, July 28-29 and Aug. 1 – 6, 2023. Several new VIP offerings available in 2023 give lovers of all things rock ‘n roll unprecedented access to nightly entertainment. A fan-favorite, The Garage at the Grand Sierra Resort has a new sister location at the expanded venue in downtown Sparks with The Garage at Sparks, offering an enhanced VIP experience. A new front-of-stage table seating option is available at the Grand Sierra Resort main stage presented by Lucas Oil Products, Inc., to not miss a beat from the lineup that features THE ROCKET MAN SHOW, WAR, 38 SPECIAL, AMERICA and FOGHAT.

The entertainment at the Grand Sierra Resort venue kicks off Tuesday, Aug. 1 with THE ROCKETMAN SHOW. Rus Anderson is Elton John’s official body double for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour. Picked by the man himself, Rus performs as a young Elton John in The Rocket Man Show driving Elton’s greatest hits.

Wednesday, Aug. 2 features WAR, the first and most successful musical crossover phenomenon that forever fused rock, jazz, Latin and R&B while transcending racial and cultural barriers with a multi-ethnic, musical melting pot that has sold nearly 50 million records to date.

With more than four decades together, 38 SPECIAL brings their signature sounds of Southern Rock to the stage Thursday, Aug. 3. Known for its explosive power and chart-topping hits like, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more are timeless and recognizable from the first opening chord.

AMERICA, the perennial classic-rock favorite, takes the stage Friday, Aug. 4. With hits like “A Horse With No Name,” America became a global household name and paved the way with an impressive string of hits following the success of their first #1 single. Nearly five decades later, these friends are still making music together, touring the world and entertaining audiences with their timeless sound.

FOGHAT closes out the 36th year Saturday, Aug. 5. This English rock band started in London in 1971 and made a mark for the use of an electric slide guitar in their music. Best known for “Slow Ride,” the band has eight gold records, one platinum and one double-platinum.

The music is a huge part of what makes this event what it is – and it’s in a big part thanks to our sponsors who make this possible. The new downtown Sparks stage venue, located in the east parking area of the Nugget Resort Casino focuses on the tribute bands belting out tunes to cap off each day. Performances include:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 2: DECOY performing hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s
  • Thursday, Aug. 3: NEIL DIAMOND – “THE TRIBUTE FEATURING ROB GARRETT”
  • Friday, Aug. 4: SPICE WANNABE – THE SPICE GIRLS TRIBUTE
  • Saturday, Aug. 5: LONG TIME – A TRIBUTE TO THE BAND BOSTON

More entertainment is available at other venues including in Virginia City with live music from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. kicking off with DJ’s Steve West and Rich West in the Delta Lot. New this year, The Garage at Grand Sierra Resort presented by D&S Towing, offers reserved tables for premium viewing. For true music lovers, the all-new Headlight Lounge is front and center, just in front of the stage and offers the same amenities as The Garage.

In Downtown Sparks, the all-new Garage offers VIP tables available for reservation in front of the main stage and with unbeatable views of the Sparks Cruise along Victorian Avenue.
