Taking Place Aug. 2-11, 2024, in Reno, Nevada

Hot August Nights is the largest nostalgic classic car show in the U.S. and so much more. Bringing a more than $100 million economic impact to the northern Nevada region, the 37th annual city-wide event encompasses six venues with 5,500 registered participants rolling into the Reno-Sparks community for 10 days, attracting more than 500,000 spectators. To the car enthusiast community, it’s a big deal and for good reason. For the 2024 event taking place Aug. 2 to Aug. 11, organizers are focused on venue enhancements and creating memorable experiences for attendees and participants alike.

“There’s really nothing like Hot August Nights anywhere else,” said Deny Dotson, executive director for Hot August Nights. “Certainly, there are classic cars shows and there’s a handful that pull in big numbers, but Hot August Nights is the only one that takes over an entire town for 10 days with classics at every turn, at six different venues with Show-n-Shines, free nightly entertainment, cruises, swap meet, an auction, reserved experiences, a poker run and more. Anyone who has ever attended knows that you can’t go anywhere in the Reno-Tahoe region without hearing and feeling the motors of thousands of classics growling. It’s something special.”

NEW in 2024

• While the Grand Sierra Resort remains the event’s main hub, enhancing the offerings in Sparks is top on the list. Hot August Nights, in partnership with Nugget Resort Casino, will move the free nightly entertainment and reserved experiences to the outdoor Nugget Events Center venue.
• A new Insider’s Club offers reserved parking for a limited number of classics inside the Nugget Events Center or at the Grand Sierra Resort. One price reserves a spot for the duration of the event.
• Swap Meet has a new location in downtown Reno at the J Resort. Spanning two parking areas for vendors, it also includes the Cool Car Showroom to display vehicles that are for sale to the resort’s outdoor entertainment area, The Glow Plaza, along with music and a beer garden.
• In addition to these venues, the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Peppermill Resort Spa and The ROW will support Hot August Nights participants and attendees with events and promotions.

Entertainment

Hot August Nights annually brings top-name entertainment to the main entertainment venue at the Grand Sierra Resort. With the addition of Nugget Events Center, more headliners are on the calendar for 2024.

• Wednesday, Aug. 7 – Turn The Page Tribute to Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band

• Saturday, Aug. 10 – Announcement coming in late January

Entertainment also takes place at locations in downtown Reno with The ROW, Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and the Peppermill Resort Spa.

RESERVED EXPERIENCES

• Reserved tables and individual access tickets are available for purchase at two venues, the Grand Sierra Resort and in Sparks at the Nugget Events Center and the Drag Races.
• Secure reserved seating at the tented space at the Grand Sierra Resort venue. The Garage at GSR presented by D&S Tow is located in prime viewing of the entertainment stage and includes unlimited beverages and pub snacks. Individual tickets and reserved tables for eight are available. The Headlight Lounge offers reserved table seating located in front of the main entertainment stage. Includes dinner and unlimited beverages.
• In Sparks, get up close with the Drag Races presented by AMSOIL with the Burnout Bar presented by Big O Tires with reserved tables and individual ticket options – both options include two (2) beverages and pub snacks.
• At the Nugget Events Center options include The Garage at the Nugget with individual tickets that include unlimited beverages and pub snacks. Another option is to purchase tickets to secure your seat for the Sparks nightly entrainment taking place at the Nugget Events Center.
• All areas are 21 and over (excluding the paid concert seating at the Nugget Events Center) and limited reserved space is available.

Beyond the entertainment, America’s largest classic car show brings Show-n-Shines, Motorsport Auction Group (MAG) Auctions, Big Boy’s Toy Store, drag races and burnouts, poker run, poker walks and more.
