HOT AUGUST NIGHTS SWAP MEET AWARDS CONTRACT TO NEW OPERATOR
Shortly after the conclusion of 2007 Event Hot August Nights submitted Requests for Proposal for the operation of the Hot August Nights Swap Meet, Car Coral and Cool Car Showroom to a number of interested parties that had expressed interest in operating same.
The deadline for submissions and responses to the Request for Proposal was November 30,2007.
Upon examining the submissions it was decided that a three year contract would be awarded to Western Pacific Events. The company is operated by Bob and Vivian Davies.
The Davies’ are familiar faces to Hot August Nights vendors and visitors as they have operated the Big Boys Toy Store and various other Hot August Nights merchandise venues for a number of years.
They will bring considerable experience and skill to the Hot August Nights Swap Meet, Car Coral, and Cool Car Showroom which will continue to be held at the Reno Sparks Livestock Event Center in Reno during Hot August Nights.

Hot August Nights 2008 Swap Meet runs from Thursday, August 7th through Saturday, August 9th. Hours of operation are from 7 AM until 6 PM daily.
