Hi, I’m Dee Priest. Let me introduce myself to the Members who do not know me and reintroduce myself to those whom I have had the pleasure of working with in the past. I have been promoted to Chairperson position of Operations Committee. For the last 2 years I have been the Assistant Chairperson and before that I Managed the Communications area of Ops. I was a Chairperson of Check – In Committee for five years, then took a break and returned to the Operations Committee. I have had the privilege to work with some great Chairpersons while in this committee. Since 1987, I have worked as a member on several committees. The Operations Committee has drawn my interest because I can see all the beautiful cars, ride a golf cart and work with some of the friendliest and efficient members of HAN.

The event, for Ops, starts out mainly with setup of the Grand Sierra Resort venue. We set the placement of water barrels and barricades, set car routes, tie down tents etc. Then we progress to monitoring of the venue for efficient and proper functioning. On Sunday, we take it all down again. And start planning for the next event.

I have selected Todd Newman and Bev Podraza as Assistant Chairpersons. Both of the Assistant Chairpersons have been part of the Operations committee for the last 2-3 years. The Managers are being selected and can be announced at our first committee meeting in March.
