FOOD & BEVERAGE COMMITTEE

This committee helps the Chairman manage the food vendors and all non-profit groups that work the coke and ice cream trailers. They are also responsible for picking up and delivering ice to the various venues as needed. For the Sunday parade, this committee organizes and hands out water to car participants as they go through the parade route. During Fall Frenzy and Spring Fever, this committee works with the Membership Committee to serve food to the participants.


This will be my third year as Food & Beverage Chairman and my 18th year as a Member of HOT AUGUST NIGHTS. I have enjoyed working many venues over the years, my love affair with all the vintage cars and my wife’s one owner Black 1959 Plymouth Sports Fury which she lets me wax, shine and keep up during the year.

You may be asking yourself, “Just what does Food & Beverage do?” I will give you a brief answer on some of our duties:

1. We deliver Ice and Water to all the venues during our August big Event.
2. We make sure special events during the year have Ice & Water.
3. Food & Beverage Volunteers Deliver lunches during our August event to all the HOT AUGUST NIGHTS working Volunteers before the food venues open.

If you would like to help out with the committee, please attend our monthly meetings and we will get you signed up.


All meetings are held at the Hot August Nights office (1425 E. Greg St., Sparks, NV) at 5:30 pm.
