Hot August Nights At TheSummit
The Summit, Reno's upscale Lifestyle Center, was recently voted the Best Place to Shop in Northern Nevada by Nevada Magazine readers. The Summit, located at the intersection of 395 and the Mount Rose Highways, is an official sponsor of Hot August Nights and in collaboration with Hot August Nights has a full line-up of activities for car enthusiasts beginning in July.
July 30th Cruise: Start your Hot August Nights festivities early this year with a cruise on July 30th, from 6-8 PM, at the Summit. Join KODS 103.7 The River for a live radio remote, fun prizes and a chance to start enjoying the sights and sounds of Hot August Nights in July.
August 1st & 2nd Dance and Show-n-Shine: On Friday, August 1st, The Summit is proud to be the official host of this Pre-Kick-Off event starting at 4 PM, featuring live entertainment, dancing and a show-n-shine with awards. Both spectators and participants of Hot August Nights will have the opportunity to enjoy hundreds of classic vehicles in the spacious setting of The Summit. Ronny & The Classis take the stage at 5 PM and get the crowd moving with retro music the way it was meant to be delivered; with high energy and the big sound of the rockin’ oldies. Ronnie & The Classics will end the dance party at 9 PM.
On Saturday, August 2nd, the Show-n-Shine begins at 10 AM and the dance party continues at 11 AM when Route 66 takes the stage to perform their unique blend of 50's and 60's favorite dance tunes. The action continues until 5 PM.
And because dancing works up an appetite, The Summit is pleased to offer a wide variety of exclusive dining options ranging from family Italian food, at Johnny Carinos, to a wide array of chocolate creations prepared to please even the most discriminating chocolate lover’s palate at The Chocolate Bar. The Summit also features B.J.'s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Cortina Ristorante & Bar, Buffalo Wild Wings, RedBrick Pizza, and Charley's Grilled Subs.
August 1st – 2nd, Show-n-Shine: On Friday, August 1st through Saturday, August 2nd, The Summit will also host a Customer's Choice Award for “Best Car”. The Show-n-Shine will be limited to the first 350 cars. The Grand Prize for “Best Car” is a $500 shopping spree at The Summit. There will also be many other prizes and gifts awarded throughout each day, including ribbons for the following categories: Best Car, Best Truck, Best Paint, Best Engine, and Best Interior.
